How does it work?

  1. Pick an item you'd love to borrow from our fashion library
  2. Pick how long you would like to borrow it
  3. Receive your piece and slay!
  4. Return the item to us with the pre-paid shipping label (and dust or garment bags if applicable)
  5. And repeat <3

 

What if you don't have my size or date?

Please send us an email at hello@the-atelier-archive.com letting us know which item, size, and day you would like to rent!

 

How much is shipping? 

Ground shipping (up to 5 business days) is complementary for rentals of $100 or more, otherwise shipping is a flat $20.

Please contact us to see if we can accommodate expedited shipping. The following charges will apply: 

UPS 2-day air shipping: $25 

UPS overnight shipping: $50

 

What if I do not return my rental on time? 

In order to make sure items get to their next home in time, a late fee of $50/day will be charged if the item is not returned on time, up to fourteen (14) days. After 14 days, the item will be assumed lost and the full recommended retail price of the item will be charged, in addition to late fees and rental fees. 

If you receive the item with a dust bag, garment bag, or hanger, please return it to us! There is a $5 fee for each if missing. 

 

What is the pre-authorization for? 

There will be a pre-authorization on your card in case of damage or if an item is returned late or if an item is not returned at all, but you will not be charged for the pre-authorization. This is just to ensure the item is returned to our fashion library on time for the next person to borrow and love.

 

What if I need to cancel my rental? 

Customers who need to cancel their rental must provide seven (7) days notice to receive a full refund, minus a $15 cancellation fee. Refund and cancellation requests made on or less than 7 days before a rental’s start date OR after shipment dispatch are strictly non-refundable.

Please be aware items are pre-worn and may exhibit minor imperfections that do not detract from the overall quality and aesthetic of the garment. It is the discretion of Atelier Archive to determine if any issues with the items exceed acceptable standards. We do not offer refunds.

 

Do I need to clean my rental before returning?

Nope! Atelier Archive items are cleaned and sanitized between each booking. 

Heavily stained garments will incur an additional cleaning fee starting from $20 depending on the item and stain. Please do not attempt to repair or clean a damaged item - Atelier Archive has a preferred team of cleaners and repair specialists.

 

Can I get a fake tan before wearing my rental? 

We know everyone loves a good tan! We recommend applying fake tanner at least two days prior to your event and making sure to thoroughly shower off residue to avoid transferring tanner onto items. 

 

Can I alter my rental?

Please do not alter garments in any way. 

 

What if I stain or damage my rental? 

Please be extremely mindful when using fake tanning products, makeup, jewelry, eating & drinking, etc. Please avoid spraying perfume directly onto items to avoid possible stains or damage. We recommend spraying onto your body before dressing. 

If damage to an item occurs, please contact hello@the-atelier-archive.com with pictures and a brief description so it can be ready for the item's next home. The item must still be returned on time. Atelier Archive will assess the extent of the damage and determine if repair fees and additional cleaning fees are needed; or in the instance of damage beyond repair, the full retail price (not including the price paid to rent an item) may be charged. If the item can be repaired for an amount less than the recommended retail price, we reserve the right to charge the customer this value instead of the recommended retail price. We reserve the right to charge the recommended retail price (not including the price paid to rent an item) in order to replace the garment if it is beyond repair. In the event that a stain prevents a garment from being rented and dry cleaning does not remove the stain, the customer will be responsible for paying the full recommended retail price of the item. If the item is booked for a rental and cannot be fulfilled due to damage and the garment is unable to be replaced or repaired, the customer is liable to pay for all pre-booked rental fees.

 

What if I lose my rental?

If a garment is reported lost (or has not been returned to Atelier Archive in over fourteen (14) days after the selected Return by date), the customer will be charged the full retail value of the item, in addition to any late fees and the initial rental cost.

Customer accepts full responsibility for safe keeping of our garment during their rental.
